Vedanta Kesari Pujya Sri Mallikarjuna Mahashivayogi received discipleship under Jagadguru Sri Shivananda Mahaswamiji of Gadag and mastered all sacred scriptures. He delivered Pravachanas (spiritual discourses) in Kannada, Hindi, and Marathi across Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Goa, initiating lakhs of devotees into the path of Dharma and dispelling ignorance. He established the first Kannada medium school in Miraj, Maharashtra, authored sacred texts, and inspired educational institutions, hostels, financial bodies, and addiction recovery centers.

Combining the wisdom of Allama, the detachment of Akkamahadevi, and the simple living of Saranas, he wandered as a Charajangama, teaching devotees Ishtalinga Sadhana, Advaita realization, and an ideal Sharana lifestyle.

To honor such an enlightened Shivayogi, his supreme disciple Jnanayogi Pujya Sri Siddheshwar Mahaswamiji resolved to construct a grand Shila Mandira (stone temple) at Gurudeva Ashram in Hulyal village, Jamkhandi Taluk. Fulfilling the command of Gurudeva is our sacred duty.

In accordance with Pujya Siddheshwar Appaji's resolution, the temple is being built entirely through voluntary Gurukanike and donations from devotees. We believe you will stand as a pillar of strength for this noble cause.
